Crumb Size Standards

I was really exciting when John Oxton started up Bite Size Standards. It sounded like such a good idea:

Busy web designers don’t always have time to read or write lengthy tutorials, but a daily “bite” of useful information, taken or given, could be good for the soul.

Sounds good, yeah? I’ve even half-written an article ready to submit to them, whenever they open submissions. That’s how exciting this site is. (Yes, I lead a dull life…) So it’s quite disappointing to see that these daily bites of information have dried up to mere crumbs. According to the site, the last entry was the 27th of May, which is like ages ago. Over two whole weeks in fact. Not very daily then.

It’s such a nice idea as well, something a bit different to the A List Aparts and the Vitamins of this interweb, so it’s a shame to see it drifting off into obscurity. I hope the project hasn’t been aborted as I could see it having a very promising future. Let’s just hope John and the team start serving up a fabulous feast of tasty treats for us to snack on during our day.

Update: John replied on his blog earlier. It might have been something to do with this post, might not have, who knows? Only John does. Apparently the reason is due to lack of editors to sort the articles. If he’s looking for more editors, then I’d be happy to help. That’s a serious offer too, John, if you’re reading.
