Life Update #1
Sorry I’ve not been writing on here much recently. I’m busy busy busy, so it’s only fair to keep everyone up to date with what I’ve been up to.
- I had one of my comments published in .net magazine which I didn’t actually realise until I was reading the mag on the train. You can see photos here, here and here. It’s about Dreamweaver and why it’s popularity has decreased. I waffle on about how the web is changing and people don’t need to use Dreamweaver any more to get their personal things online (due to MySpace et al). Anyway, it’s very exciting, and it’s available at most good newsagents.
- I’ve been busy writing a tutorial for .net mag on Google Maps which has taken up most of my free time recently. It’s 95% finished so I can get back to hardcore blogging when it’s done.
- I will be starting a new job soon at Framfab, the UK’s largest web design agency, as an (check this out) interface developer. How cool does that sound! It sounds like very space-age hi-tech! In layman terms, I’ll be doing XHTML, CSS and JavaScript – so basically the things I’m good at – which is nice. I’ll be revealing more details about the job, and why I’ve changed jobs, in another post sooooon…
- I had a haircut today. This isn’t exciting news. However, when I asked for a trim, I didn’t expect her to cut nearly all my hair off except for a big fuck-off fringe. It’s been rectified now with a mirror, some kitchen scissors and my good hand-eye co-ordination. But my lovely flowing locks have disappeared… :’(
- It’s the World Cup so obviously in between writing for .net, getting new jobs and getting bad haircuts, I’ve been very-excitingly following the tournament. I think the whole blogosphere has been running slowly due to this though.
So yeah… soz… full service shall be resumed shortly! I promise!
