Why am I bothering to write a (b)log?

That’s a very good question. 90% of the blogs that I see around the internet are boring and badly written, and I’m sure that mine is/will be too, so I’m just following the crowd and joining in.

Seriously though, I do feel that I need to be writing more than I currently do. I write occasionally for .net magazine, which has a lot more people reading it than this site does, so the more I write things for this “blog”, the better I will become at the rantings that actually get printed and distributed. My english skills aren’t the best in the world by any means, so this gives me a good enough reason to improve and enhance them.

So what do I have to say about anything? Well, nothing more important than anyone else, but it’s always nice for my opinions to be heard (or read, in this case). I shall be ranting/moaning about the web and the industry that surrounds it… a bit like everyone else then. So why’s mine different? It’s not, and I’m not saying it is – I just hope to be better than other blogs by making a concerted effort to be interesting and entertaining. (This will probably fail by the second post.)

Why I have a put ”(b)log” / Why have I called it a log, rather than a blog? Because the b in blog stands for boring. True fact. Without it, I instantly remove the dull factor. (Plus I hate buzzwords like blog and rather not associate the site with them…)

I’m going to try and log every few days, so expect some posts over the next couple of days (and then nothing). Welcome me into the blogosphere!
